壳牌捷凯领克车队由冠军之师 TEAMWORK 捷凯运营,由领克汽车、吉利汽车运动部提供支持。2020赛季,壳牌捷凯领克车队车手马青骅夺得 TCR China 年度车手总冠军。2021赛季,车队派出马青骅、张志强、王日昇三位职业车手,驾驶领克 03 TCR 赛车参与 TCR Asia 赛事角逐。

Sino-Korea racing shocked whole Shanghai and Ford, Honda and Hyundai achieved their brilliance in CTCC

On June 19, 2016, a sea of people gathered at Shanghai International Circuit where SINOPEC lubricant CTCC (China Touring Car Championship) and Korean SUPER RACE brought the first Sino-Korea super racing of this summer to 20,000 audiences.

This was the fourth time that SUPER RACE was held in China. The SUPER RACE adopted the latest steel pipe racing car loaded with Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine which had 6.2L displacement and output 436 horsepower. During the 1h race in the noon, those super monsters from Korea roared on the track and shocked the hearts of 20,000 audiences on the site. Finally the Korean racer Steven CHO came first, followed by Eui Chul JUNG starting out from pole position and Japanese Yuji IDE.

In the SINOPEC lubricant CTCC in the home field, the first race of Super Trophy 2.0T was won by CAO Hongwei, ZHANG Dasheng and HE Xiaole of Chang’an Ford Racing Team while the second race was also won by ZHANG Dasheng, HE Xiaole and ZHEN Zhuowei who were also from Changan Ford. In the Super Trophy 1.6T, the first race was won by XIE Xinzhe of Dongfeng Honda followed by ZHANG Zhiqiang of Dongfeng Yueda Kia and HE Weiquan of Dongfeng Honda, and the second race was won by XIE Xinzhe, ZOU Sirui and HE Weiquan of Dongfeng Hongda. As for the Chinese Trophy, the first race was won by DENG Baowei of Beijing Hyundai Freely Team, followed by ZHU Zhenyu and WAN Jincun of Phicomm and the second race was won by ZHANG Hanbiao of Beijing Hyundai Freely Team, followed by WAN Jincun and ZHU Zhenyu of Phicomm.

Changan Ford Team won four titles

At the weekend, Chang’an Ford did well in the racing by wining two races of the Manufacturer Cup with CAO Hongwei and ZHANG Dasheng respectively. Its long-term opponent Shanghai Volkswagen 333 Team behaved well in the beginning, but failed to give a fully play to its full strength and challenge the leading status of Chang’an Ford Team due to failures with racing car. It meant Chang’an Ford Team further consolidated its strengths in the Manufacturer standing.

Like Shanghai Volkswagen, BAIC SENOVA also failed to perform well at the present round. The next round in Korea left little time for the teams to prepare themselves. WANG Risheng winning the pole position from Teamwork did not continue his powerful performance in Saturday after encountering a problem with his racing car.

Dongfeng Honda won four prizes

The two Super Trophy 1.6T races were held . The CIVIC racing car with outstanding horsepower was like a fish put into the water in Shanghai International Circuit. In the first race, XIE Xinzhe won the top spot, and his team mate HE Weiquan came in the third. In the second round, the three racers of Dongfeng Honda presented formation flight mode and they won the first, second and third places respectively. In other words, Dongfeng Hongda won two driver champions and 2 manufacturer cups, 4 champion cups in total. After wining two rounds, XIE Xinzhe said with excitement that their team realized Full House finally at the third round.

ZHANG Zhiqiang of Dongfeng Yueda Kia said after winning the second place of the first race: “I took part in six races at three rounds, and got to stand on the prize-awarding platform for five times. I am quite satisfactory about it. As you see, we have done our best in the race. I was even convinced that I would win the game, but I did not have much defending chances after seeing the speed of my opponents.

DENG Baowei surprised the audiences with his first victory in his career

Like other two teams in Super Trophy, Beijing Hyundai was also the biggest winner of this round. DENG Baowei on behalf of the Beijing Hyundai Freely Team won his first CTCC victory. In the sixth race, ZHANG Hanbiao perfectly executing the team strategy from reverse Pole To Win, and brought a second victory to Beijing Hyundai Freely Team at Shanghai round. It was noteworthy that though DENG Baowei has a brief experience in CTCC, he is a completely freshman on the CTCC track filled with professional racers. He took part in the game on behalf of Beijing Hyundai Freely Team and achieved third place in respect of circle speed in the qualifying. He maintained his position against the pressure from other competitors behind him in the first round and finally won the victory. The best performance of GAC Toyota YARiS L in the first race was the fifth place by LIU Yang, and that in second race was sixth place by LIU Yang again.

As to the cooperative events, the second race of third round of POLO Cup was also held in the afternoon of Sunday. In this race, YANG Xiaowei, YANG Shuo he Konda Anindith Reddy ranked first, second and third, respectively.

Enjoy, appreciate and observe the racing cars

Besides fierce competitions, CTCC participants also provided interaction regions on the Crystal Plaza for the enthusiastic fans. In such regions, the fans took part in the racing games, interacted closely with the racers through signing events, and pulled for their favorite racers. During the competitions, red envelopes containing money were kept being distributed to the audiences so as to incite the atmosphere.

The present competition was coming to an end. The next round of CTCC was Korean International Circuit (Jul. 9-10). More exciting games are provided for you.
