On 11th.,May, the second round of Sinopec Lubricants China Touring Car Championship of 2014 took place in Zhuhai. Due to the huge rain, all started after the safety car. After the seventh lap, there was a sudden increase in rainfall. At the same time, it showed a low visibility on the track. Based on the situation, the Committee decided that the competition should come to an end. Due to the weather conditions were not suitable for subsequent further contest, Super Production Group competition ended immediately. Changan Ford kept the first three in the Race. Martin Xie, Darryl, Andy Yan achieved the first three. Martin Xie got the Red Bull Award for the fastest lap. Then China Production Group finals also canceled because of too much rain.

Sinopec Lubricants Title Sponsored the Race for the Third Consecutive Year

Before the game, Sinopec Lubricants & China Touring Car Championship Organizing Committee held a formal Title Sponsored ceremony. This is the third consecutive year that Sinopec Lubricants sponsors CTCC.

Two Laps Determine the Outcome

This week the track was sometimes dry, sometimes wet, sometimes rained and sometimes shined. This weather conditions have brought all participating teams big challenge. Before the start of the race Changan Ford has come up with several sets of solving programs, regardless of rain, dry or semi-dry to have adequate plans to cope. It also reflects the teams with experience, and the  ability to respond to various changes.

In fact, just two laps after the safety car returned, the match was interrupted. But anyway it was very exciting.Andy Yan was nearly caught up by Wang Rui. Changan Ford three drivers also kept a certain distance based on strategy formulated. Eventually, Andy Yan defended all. Changan Ford again occupies the top three podium, naturally got the Manufactures Cup.

In the post-match press conference, Andy Yan, and Darryl both participated in, they both said that the tournament had made a precise decision to terminate the competition in such extreme weather, and also thanked all the riders and race track work security personnel .

China GT Running in the Rain

After the 12-lap race, young driver Zhang Dasheng lead to the flag waved, and the group won the GT-CUP champion, after him were Li Xuefeng and Li Jiaqi subsequently crossed the line. JRM had got the satisfactory in his first GT racing. In GT-OPEN group, the same was a cutting-edge GT drivers Li Chao on behalf of JRM team won the champion of Group A. LC-Motorspor team Lin Yusheng became the Group B winner.

China GT is approved by State Physical Culture Administration and the Federation of Automobile Sports of China. If CTCC is closer to the masses of the race, then, GT racing event is the high art. Compared to touring car racing, GT Race driving requires higher skills. It relies more on technology, and also to become a battle among the manufacturer to compete the sophisticated technology. It is the best place to see the progress of the auto industry.
