Round 5 of SINOPEC LUBRICANTS CTCC 2015 season ended on 16th August at Guangdong International Circuit, which bases in Zhaoqing. After a nine-lap race 1, Beijing Hyundai driver Zhi Hang HUANG gathered his first China Production group win in 2015, followed by BAIC Senova’s Ruo Han HUANG and GTMC Toyota YARiS L Team’s Hu Ping CHEN. Then, Han Biao ZHANG helped Beijing Hyundai Racing win both races after the seven-lap race 2, GTMC Toyota YARiS L Team’s Wei An CHEN and BAIC Senova Racing’s Hu An ZHU finished second and third respectively. Dongfeng Honda and Henry HO, both back to Super Production Group grid, won the race with a huge advantage, Dongfeng Yueda KIA’s Zhi Qiang ZHANG scored another second place, Chang’an Ford’s Xiaole HE got the third. In Super 2.0T Group, Shanghai Volkswagen 333 Racing’s completed 1-2 formula once again by Rui WANG and Teng Yi JIANG, but Beijing Ruisi Mingyao team’s Kelvin LEONG got their maiden podium finish.

China Production Group：Local Drivers’ Honor

Depending on brilliant drive from Zhi Hang HUANG and Han Biao ZHANG, both local drivers, Beijing Hyundai Racing became the biggest winner of round 5. After the fantastic race, they all said more experience than rivals helped them to do that.

The most scary moment took place in to ending laps, GTMC Toyota YARiS L Team’s Yu XIA lost control and rolled his machine for several rounds. Luckily, XIA didn’t hurt during the accident.

GTMC Toyota YARiS L Team got a good result, Wei An CHEN and Hu Ping CHEN both managed to stand on podium. BAIC Senova’s Ruo Han HUANG and Hu An ZHU also got podium finishes, which is considerable as well. The form of three-way-fight was stretched into second half of the season.

Super Production Group: A Dramatic Ending

In Super Production Group, there is another gorgeous race, either the process and the result are hard to forecast. Dongfeng Honda racer Henry HO scored the second win of this season after cruised to finish. But it’s really shame for his teammate Xin Zhe XIE, despite he jumped into second place after a string of surpasses, then the electrical failure ruined his race. The most entertaining part took place among Dongfeng Yueda KIA and Chang’an Ford, Darryl O’Young, Zhi Qiang ZHANG and Andy YAN all fought for several times. But the determining lap was the last lap, both Darryl O’Young and Andy YAN hit by mechanical problem, the form totally changed, Zhi Qiang ZHANG and Xiao Le HE up to second and third respectively.

Although Dongfeng Yueda KIA scored the same points with Chang’an Ford, but they beat the latter with Zhi Qiang ZHANG’s second place. Dongfeng Yueda KIA maintain the championship lead by just 2 points, but Zhi Qiang ZHANG jumped into driver standing lead by 3 points.

There are many moments in Super 2.0T Group as well, pole man Sunny WONG failed to stand his machine in the grid and have to drive through the pit lane. Zhen Dong ZHANG was stopped by radiator problem. Rui Wang came across electrical problem as well, but the red flag secured him. Beijing Ruisi Mingyao team’s Kelvin LEONG got their maiden podium finish.  

Team FASC Controlled in Chinese Cup, And a Good Fight in Polo Cup

After CTCC races, Chinese Cup started. During the second round of this championship, FASC team scored all podium places by Dai Wei ZHU, Hu An ZHU and Yue CUI. Ling Hao DAI, Ya Qi ZHANG and Bao Wei DENG finished as top three in Polo Cup China, another cooperative event.

The well known websites, such as Tencent, LETV, PPTV, iQIYI all boardcasted the Third round CTCC in Sheshan. CTCC also raised a huge number of containing money as a gift, which will be provide on the official WeChat platform of CTCC. This method earned more than 5000 fans of CTCC official account. And there will be more containing money in the nextround of CTCC.
