Wang Rui of Shanghai VW 333 Racing took his first win from pole position in the sixth round of CTCC at Guangdong International Circuit. Andy Yan and Rainey He of Chang?an Ford FRD Team finished second and third.
 

Tang You Xi of GDTV TSB Racing crashed into the back of G Racing?s Kenneth Look at the start of the race, with Zhang Sheng Jun of ASR de Marco running in to the stranded cars, leading to the first safety car session.

Not long after, Zhang Zhi Qiang crashed into the barrier and retired from the race, bringing out the safety car again.

Han Han, who had climbed to third, found himself suffering from an engine misfire and retired on lap 18. Zhang Han Biao, Zhang Zhen Dong of Shanghai VW 333 Racing and Jiang Tengyi of Chang?an Ford FRD Team also suffered from different kinds of mechanical problems, dropping down the order.

Wang Rui claimed victory of the race from pole position while Rainey He ended in third place behind his teammate Andy Yan. Rainey He is leading the drivers? championship with 47 points, while Jiang Tengyi and Han Han follows in second and third position with 44 and 40 points respectively.

The seventh round of the 2012 CTCC will be held at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit on the 14th of October.
