新军再砺,双剑合璧

As a newcomer to motorsports, Chengdu RevX Racing made a stunning debut in the 2024 CTCC season, clinching its first-ever team championship at the season finale in Zhuzhou. Entering the 2025 season, the team returns with greater maturity, fielding a two-car lineup with the experienced duo of Wang Yimin and Zhang Shang to compete in the TCR China Challenge, embarking on a new chapter in their racing journey.
Shanghai Jiading kicks off with a strong start

The season opener kicked off in Jiading, Shanghai, with Chengdu RevX Racing making a strong start. Driver Zhang Shengshang made an early statement in qualifying, securing pole position. In the first race, he led from start to finish after launching from pole, ultimately claiming the championship trophy to secure a winning start. In the second race, Zhang continued his hot streak, climbing onto the podium once again. The team launched their season with a dominant double podium finish. Wang Yimin also delivered solid performances in both races, securing valuable points.

Retakes the Field in Ningbo, Continuing Its Glory

The second round moved to the Ningbo International Speedway in Zhejiang, where the team arrived in formidable form. Zhang Shengshang once again demonstrated his absolute speed in qualifying, securing pole position for the second consecutive race. In the first final, he delivered a dominant “Pole to Win” performance, claiming his second overall victory of the season and securing the team championship for Chengdu RevX Racing. Wang Yimin also steadily earned points. The second race began with dramatic twists and turns. Unfortunately, Zhang Shengshang's car was caught up in a multi-car incident and, despite his best efforts, had to retire. At this critical moment, Wang Yimin aggressively fought his way through intense battles, ultimately finishing fifth and securing valuable points for the team.

Zhejiang Race: Battling It Out, Dominating the Track

The third round arrived at Zhejiang International Circuit, where the TCR China Challenge competed alongside the higher-tier TCR China Championship. With over 30 cars on the grid, the competition reached unprecedented intensity. In the opening round, Zhang Shang, starting from pole position in his class, executed a flawless launch to surge ten positions within a single lap. Not only did he lead the TCR China Challenge field, but he also held his own against the formidable competitors from the higher-tier championship. Ultimately, navigating a complex race marked by multiple safety car deployments, he clinched victory in the TCR China Challenge.

In the second round, Zhang Shang once again demonstrated his consistency and resilience. Though he dropped positions during the start phase due to an incident, he never relinquished his pursuit. By the race's closing stages, he fought his way back into the leading pack, ultimately securing a commendable second-place finish in his class. Wang Yimin delivered steady performances in both rounds at Keqiao, finishing fifth in each race to consistently contribute points for the team.

With dominant performances across three races in the first half of the season, Zhang Hesheng and Chengdu RevX Racing both lead the TCR China Challenge driver and team standings at the midpoint of the campaign. Their outstanding results have also propelled Chengdu to the forefront of the CTCC City Team honours race.
Back to the Shanghai International Circuit, where the challenge intensifies.
